Everest Leydecker is one of the most promising young athletes in women’s freestyle wrestling and a rising star within the University of Iowa women’s wrestling program. Known for her relentless competitiveness, technical skill, and poise against elite competition, Leydecker has quickly established herself as one of the top prospects in the United States and on the international stage.
Before beginning her collegiate career at Iowa, Leydecker built an impressive résumé that includes a U20 World Championship, a Final X runner-up finish, and recognition as the No. 1-ranked high school wrestler in the Class of 2026 by MatScouts. Her success has continued at the international level, earning spots on both the U20 and U23 U.S. World Teams while qualifying for Final X to compete for a place on the Senior World Team in 2026.
As she begins her career in Iowa City, Leydecker represents the next generation of American wrestling talent. With aspirations of NCAA, World, and Olympic success, she proudly represents Team USA, the Iowa Women’s Wrestling Club, and the University of Iowa while helping shape the future of women’s wrestling.
