IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa Women’s Wrestling Club (IWWC) is proud to announce the resigning of Macey Kilty as she continues her pursuit of World and Olympic success.
One of the most accomplished freestyle wrestlers in the United States, Kilty has established herself as a consistent contender on the international stage and is a key member of the IWWC’s resident athlete program.
Currently ranked No. 2 on Team USA at 62 kilograms, Kilty most recently finished runner-up at Final X after a hard-fought three-match series against reigning World Team member Adaugo Nwachukwu. She placed fifth at the 2025 Senior World Championships after earning a bronze medal at the 2024 Senior World Championships. Kilty also captured a silver medal at the 2024 U23 World Championships and owns additional World Championship silver medals at the Senior and U23 levels.
“Macey Kilty will be a World Champion in the coming years and is on a path to become our next Olympic Champion in 2028. She embodies everything we look for in an Iowa Women’s Wrestling Club athlete,” said IWWC Board President Tricia Brown. “She’s an exceptional competitor, a tremendous ambassador for the sport, and someone who consistently proves she is among the world’s best. We’re thrilled to continue supporting her pursuit of World and Olympic medals.”
A two-time U.S. Olympic Team Trials runner-up and alternate, Kilty has long been considered one of the premier talents in American wrestling. She is a U.S. Open champion, Final X champion, two-time Junior World silver medalist, and one of the most decorated age-group athletes in the country’s history.
Before her rise to the senior international level, Kilty built an impressive résumé competing in Wisconsin. Wrestling out of Stratford High School, she was the 2016 Wisconsin state runner-up in the boys division, a five-time Fargo national champion, two-time Junior World silver medalist, and a two-time Cadet World medalist, earning bronze and gold medals in 2016 and 2018.
Since joining the IWWC, Kilty has continued to develop alongside some of the nation’s top athletes while pursuing her goal of representing Team USA on the sport’s biggest stages.
“The Iowa Women’s Wrestling Club provided an incredible training environment and support system during my first year,” said Kilty. “I’m grateful to continue training in Iowa City and to be surrounded by coaches, teammates, and supporters who believe in my goals. I’m excited for what’s ahead and for the opportunity to continue representing the club.”
As she prepares for another season of international competition, Kilty remains focused on adding to her World Championship résumé and securing a place on future U.S. World and Olympic Teams.

About the Iowa Women’s Wrestling Club
The Iowa Women’s Wrestling Club provides the coaching, training facilities, and financial support necessary for female athletes to compete for and win Olympic and world championships after completing their collegiate careers.
Many current student-athletes are driven to win NCAA titles, but also to represent Team USA at the top of the podium on an international stage.
IWWC provides these women the opportunity to focus on their training and travel to national and international competitions. In the process, they learn more about themselves and become prepared for a future after competition.
